On Friday, 12 July 2024, a 94-year-old man was located deceased at Clare Holland House.
On 29 April 2024, the 94-year-old was sentenced by the ACT Supreme Court to a term of imprisonment for the murder of his wife in 2023. At the time of his death, he was a sentenced prisoner.
In April 2024, the man was transferred to a medical facility as he was suffering terminal cancer.
There are no suspicious circumstances in relation to his death, and police will submit a report to the Coroner.
