On 25 July (2024), the man and his partner were at the man’s residence in Florey when they got into a verbal argument. He then allegedly began to choke her and only stopped when other occupants of the home became aware of the incident and intervened.

The woman was rendered unconscious during the incident and required hospitalisation as a result of her injuries.

On 28 August (2024), the man allegedly assaulted the woman again while at an address in Braddon, slapping her and pulling her to the ground, causing further injuries.

Yesterday afternoon, the woman attended Woden Police Station to report the series of alleged assaults.
